System Matching

How to match a clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearing

A complete clutch kit should be matched as a system. Nominal diameter alone does not confirm that the disc, cover assembly and release mechanism will work together.

1. Start with the vehicle and transmission

Record the vehicle model, engine, transmission and OE references from the removed components. Automatic manual transmission and conventional manual systems may use different release components.

2. Compare the disc and pressure plate

Confirm the nominal diameter, friction surface, hub clearance, plate configuration and operating direction. Check that the disc hub orientation and damper envelope have sufficient clearance.

3. Confirm the release system

Verify push-type or pull-type operation, release-bearing design, mounting interface and required travel. An incorrect release component can prevent full engagement or disengagement.

4. Request final confirmation

Send the complete OE-number set and clear photos of every component. CHUANGJIN can compare the supplied references and dimensions before preparing a quotation or sample confirmation.
