Start with the complete reference set
Collect the OE or cross-reference numbers from the removed disc, pressure plate and release component. Record the vehicle model, engine, transmission, operating duty and required quantity so a supplier can compare the complete application.
Check the disc and cover together
Confirm diameter, friction surface, spline profile, hub clearance, plate configuration and release direction. A 430mm disc, for example, may still be wrong when its spline or hub profile does not match the cover and transmission input shaft.
Confirm the release system
Verify push-type or pull-type operation, release-bearing interface, mounting dimensions and required travel. Ask for technical confirmation when the original kit is incomplete or the vehicle has been converted.
